What he values most about his role is the people: the collaboration with a team he genuinely enjoys working alongside. And yes, at six-foot-something, he's also the one who occasionally fetches things from tall shelves.
Level 10 Fun: Outside of work, Akhil splits his time between weight training and motorcycle riding — ideally followed by a great meal and downtime with family.

Drawing on nine years in the mortgage industry, Alison offers a unique vantage point shaped by her early career in underwriting and her subsequent move into specialized default and foreclosure management. Her day-to-day calls for quick decision-making, conflict resolution, and the ability to triage urgent situations on the fly. No two files are alike — each brings its own nuances and challenges — and Alison thrives on finding creative solutions that work for all parties involved. For Neighbourhood's lending and investment teams, Alison is a professional loss-limiter: calm under pressure, resourceful, and always looking for the best possible outcome.

That problem-solving reputation is a big part of why Neighbourhood's broker network keeps growing.

Christine Collett is the Broker Relationship Manager at Neighbourhood Holdings, bringing over 25 years of mortgage industry experience spanning both prime (A) lending and alternative credit. She holds a Paralegal Diploma and a Mortgage Agent Level 2 designation — an uncommon combination that gives her a sharper lens on both the legal and financial dimensions of every file.
Christine's strength is pattern recognition built over decades: she's skilled at analyzing credit, spotting risk, and thinking creatively to navigate files that don't follow a textbook path. Each application brings a new situation to unfold, and that constant change is what keeps her engaged after a quarter century in the business.
For broker partners, Christine is the Broker Relationship Manager who's genuinely seen it all. Her deep knowledge of both traditional and alternative lending means she can communicate clearly, solve problems efficiently, and offer the kind of experienced judgment that moves deals forward with confidence.

With four years in the advisory space, Devon's day-to-day revolves around three things: knowledge, communication, and organization. She takes time to understand each client's goals, ambitions, and life plans, then works to match them with the right investment solution. What she values most is that no two conversations are the same — every client brings a different story and a different set of financial objectives. Over time, many of Devon's clients become long-term connections. That ongoing relationship — built on clarity, responsiveness, and genuine care — is what keeps her work dynamic and far from routine.
Level 10 Fun: Outside the office, Devon stays active with swimming, running, and golf, and values time spent with family and friends.

Jared Stanley is the Chief Operating Officer at Neighbourhood Holdings, where he oversees originations, underwriting, product development, and the process improvements that keep the company ahead of the market. Since entering the mortgage industry in 2008, Jared has built a career on doing the work himself first — underwriting complex files, learning what the data reveals, then turning those insights into better systems for the whole team.
That hands-on foundation is what makes his leadership distinctive. Jared still acts as a knowledge resource for underwriters on nuanced deals, while simultaneously leading the product development that keeps Neighbourhood's lending suite evolving with the market. Under his operational leadership, the company reached $2 billion in funded volume by April 2025 — driven by a straightforward philosophy: what gets measured gets managed.
More recently, Jared has been championing AI and advanced technology across the business, pushing alternative lending toward a new standard of speed and precision. He's also a recipient of the 2015 Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP, now Mortgage Professionals Canada) Underwriter of the Year award.

Jean-Marc holds a suite of credentials including the Canadian Securities Course, Professional Financial Planning Course, and Certified Investment Manager (CIM) designation. He was also a licensed Certified Financial Planner for over 20 years. Day to day, Jennifer monitors for risk, reviews escalated issues, and ensures the firm's policies stay aligned with evolving regulatory requirements.
What Jennifer values most is the collaborative nature of her work. Compliance at Neighbourhood isn't siloed — it's woven into how the advisory team operates, and Jennifer's role is to make that partnership effective and practical.
Level 10 Fun: Outside the office, Jennifer unwinds on her bicycle — simple, no fuss, and restorative.

What excites her most is the moment when data, strategy, and execution click together to produce real results.
With four years at Neighbourhood and a track record of continuously improving how the team works, Jessica has become a key link between the company's growth ambitions and the operational machinery that makes them happen. Jordan holds a Diploma in Urban Land Economics from UBC's Sauder School of Business (specializing in real estate development), is a CFA Level III Candidate, and is a licensed submortgage broker. That combination of real estate knowledge, investment analysis, and lending credentials gives him a uniquely well-rounded perspective on product design.
With nine years in the industry, Jordan's day-to-day involves rethinking traditional processes and aligning new product offerings with Neighbourhood's investment risk appetite. For the broker network, his work means more tools to serve more borrowers. For investors, it means thoughtfully structured products that balance return with risk.

Her work is the kind that runs best when nobody notices it — and that's exactly how Kathy likes it. She takes quiet satisfaction in a job well done: accurate payroll runs, clean vendor records, and benefits that are set up correctly the first time. It's precision work that requires consistency, and Kathy delivers it reliably.
For the Neighbourhood team, Kathy is a behind-the-scenes anchor. Employees count on her for timely pay and clear answers on benefits; vendors count on her for prompt, accurate payments. She helps keep the financial operations humming so the rest of the company can focus on lending.
Level 10 Fun: Kathy stays active with gym sessions and spin classes, and loves checking out festivals and events around the city. If money were no object, she'd travel the world.

Licensed as a broker in BC and Alberta and as a Mortgage Agent Level 2 in Ontario, Laura brings cross-provincial expertise to a role that requires both technical knowledge and genuine empathy. She understands that personal finance can be stressful, and she makes it a point to help borrowers navigate their questions with patience and clarity.
With six years of experience in mortgage servicing, Laura is a steady, knowledgeable presence for borrowers across Canada. Whether it's a payment scheduling question or a full payout, she works to make the process as smooth as possible.

Her day-to-day runs on three things: a computer, coffee, and a whole lot of gumption. Scott has a knack for connecting with just about anyone. Whether a client is a seasoned investor or just getting started, he makes them feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely looked after. His goal is to create such a strong experience that when clients are ready to invest more, he's their first call — and hopefully their easiest one.

For broker partners, Sean is the underwriter who combines market knowledge with a creative, solutions-oriented mindset. He doesn't just evaluate applications — he looks for the path forward.
